I was already skeptical that an official release could ever be better than the fansubs we've been getting for 20+ years. Looks like I was right. Low quality hardsubs is hardly an upgrade from the lovely HD softsubs we've traditionally had.

The problem here is: fansubbers are dumbasses who bootlick official releases, even if they're crap. They go all "support the official release" and refuse to fansub that which gets official subs because they've been brainwashed by "community" that official release to get more plebs watching is good and piracy could convince Toei to take back official release. And this official release being hardusbbed means it's harder to take the subs and apply them to a high quality raw

Are the subs actually bad or are people just whining about hardsubs?
