**S1-S3** :
全金的蓝光表明了就是 DVD 拉上来加黑边到 1080p 的。日版和美版蓝光画质都很感人。相对 24p 的美版蓝光来说，24t 的日版蓝光烂得更彻底点，所以这个版本采用美版蓝光制作。画质处理上主要是强力处理劣质 upscale 的后遗症，包括 inverse-upscale 到 720p，然后配合 aa 和 dering。
The two BD sources of Full metal panic, the JP ver. and the US ver., are both up-scaled from DVD, and after comparison, we conclude the US ver is slightly better than the JP ver., so we use the US ver. BD for this BDRip. To counter the artifacts caused by the up-scale, we use inverse-bicubic (sharp) to reverse the BD to 720p, and then perform de-ringing, anti-aliasing and de-banding.
**S4** :
原盘画质总体较好，线条锐利纹理清晰，但部分锐利线条边缘存在轻微锯齿和晕轮；平面暗处区域有轻微色带和噪点。针对这种情况，在预处理上针对性的对线条做了低强度的反锯齿和去晕轮，在平面区域做了去色带、自适应降噪及低频增强。最后使用中高码率 x265 参数进行压制。
The overall quality of the source is decent, with sharp lines and clear textures, but slight aliasing and haloing effects can be found near some sharp edges, and mild banding and noise in dark flat areas. To deal with these artifacts, we applied weak anti-aliasing and dehaloing to lines, and debanding, adaptive denoise and enhancement of low-frequency textures to the flat areas. Lastly, we encoded with relatively high bit-rate with x265.
