That rerun is the only source of Japanese audio we have for this show—it was never reissued on DVD, let alone better home media. The audio is muffled, but it is what it is. The video isn't great either. A viable alternative would've been taking the video from the German DVD of the show (ripped on U2), or one of the other European releases, but that would require someone to encode, then color correct, THEN sync the audio for it, provided, the video itself is not re-edited in the first place, and that is simply out of the realm of possibility for a long-forgotten show like this one. Even [Futari no Lotte](https://nyaa.si/view/1672324) would deserve it way more, but the situation for that is even more dire. The English translation is brand new: the previously existing MTLs by [this arab scammer](https://www.fiverr.com/pr0translater/translate-anime-to-english?utm_campaign=gigs_show&utm_medium=shared&utm_source=copy_link&utm_term=2a3yyl) were trash. I didn't include the old Spanish and Arabic subtitles (probably trash too), because they're already muxed in [Saul Gman's release](https://nyaa.si/view/1698453)—go grab that if you intend to watch it in either of those languages. The show adapts the events of the first source book relatively faithfully, although the ending of each story is rewritten, but past episode 12, episode 13 is new to anime, and coincidentally full of crap, almost as if there's an unspoken rule that episode 13 of every WMT-adjacent TMS anime about twins at a school for girls, adapted from a European book, must be a dumpster fire about some annoying brat playing damsel in distress. Well, that sounded weirdly specific, huh. After that, episode 14 is only somewhat grounded in the book, and then the wheels come off completely, almost as if they couldn't find any other books from the series translated / acquire the rights to adapt them, although they continued to use the characters from other books as well. For the first 12 episodes, I tried to copy the lines from the book directly, where applicable. After that, I just endeavoured to maintain its writing style. These subs are in British English, by the way. Usually, "Ochame na Futago" would mean "playful / mischievous twins," but since the original series of books is called "The Twins at St. Clare's," I decided to go with that. Episode 5 of this rip includes a few seconds of the Yumeiro Patissiere anime promo, evidently captured with the 2013 rerun. Episode 8 has several weird zoom-outs which I can only attribute to faulty capturing since they're clearly not meant to be there in the original animation. This anime contains imagery, words, and themes that are absolutely problematic or offensive. All content of this nature reflects the opinion of any individual who assisted with botching this series.
