I'm happy for the author that his work gets this much respect, but it's gonna take years if they're going to do (if ever) a sequel with this quality. MAPPA pushes out much more with consistent quality in a small timeframe. it just hurts the studio, if they went cheaper and removed lots of unnecessary animation we could have had a 2 cour. but we gotta see
yeah I don't feel anything about the plot or characters, but I do feel something about the animation. from what I understand about the manga it's the artist's attention to details, framing and composition that elevated it from being a pretty basic story to being something that actually evokes feeling, and it seems the studio got the memo on that.
